We teach life skills encompassing problem solving, leadership, goal-setting, discipline, confidence, and self efficacy through the sport of speedskating transcending into daily life.
OUR MISSION
To support and accelerate the development of high potential, motivated speedskaters to become competitive, successful skaters at the national and international levels through application of best practices in coaching, on & off ice training, performance measurement/feedback, and sports psychology. We aim to recruit, equip, and, retain skaters beginning with the grassroots/club level and then help them continue their next steps along the path so they can reach their maximum potential and greatest rewards in the sport.
OUR UNIQUE POSITION
Based out of the Pettit National Ice Center, a USOC Training Facility, and, one of just three indoor 400 meter long track speedskating ovals in North America, along with two international-size hockey/short track rinks, the ASE is one of just two programs in the country designated as Official US Junior Development Speedskating Programs by US Speedskating.
